The bright golden house cannot be missed on busy Government Street, a main street in Mobile. The home has a private poolside bungalow, a French Arte Deco room with a private bathroom, and a Spanish room with bay windows. Although the Spanish room has a private bathroom, guests must walk outside of their bedroom into the nearby bathroom. There is an adjoining door, which opens out into the kitchen. Couples and people who enjoy their privacy, should consider renting the bungalow. A key to the Spanish room bedroom inside the bed and breakfast was also not provided at the Berney Fly. In the morning, eat breakfast with other guests in the cozy dining room and share stimulating conversation. For dinner, eat at a nearby Mobile restaurant. The Berney Fly House is a short drive away from restaurants and Mobile attractions.

Kate Shepard’s Home, named after a former owner of the home is a cozy and welcoming, bed and breakfast in Mobile. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood at 1552 Monterey Place. Built in 1897, the home has three rooms available to rent. The rooms are light and airy with huge, fluffy, comfortable beds. Isabel’s Room, on the second floor of the home, has a private bathroom, with a large tub for bubble baths. The room also has a fireplace, original to the home. One of the best things about a stay at the Shepard Home is the breakfast. Innkeeper Windy James, makes a scrumptious filling breakfast that guests look forward to. Try her Pecan Praline French toast. Wendy serves guests the French toast with peppered bacon. Other treats include Miss Becky’s Caramel Apple Pancakes and Chicken Sausage. Sweets are also available almost around the clock at the Shepard home, and guests have raved about Wendy’s coffee. Guests at the Kate Shepard Home receive keys to their rooms and the outer doors of the home.
